Free Community Workshop: Physical Activity, Cognition and Memory
Free Workshop for the Community!
A growing body of scientific evidence shows regular physical activity activates a variety of biological molecules (called myokines) that induce structural and functional changes in the brain. This workshop will reveal the most recent evidence supporting the findings that moderate physical activity benefits cognitive functioning, improves memory, and plays a protective role in reducing the risks of developing cognitive impairment.
Presented by Jim Hicks, PhD

Dr. Hicks received his PhD in biomedical sciences from the School of Medicine, University of New Mexico, and postdoctoral training at the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine, Germany, and UCSD.
